Our work is all about increasing access to opportunity for lower and working class communities, one thing which we have noticed is becoming an increasing barrier to opportunity is mental health. This is why we have chosen to focus on this issue for the next 2 years.
We want to focus on access to mental health services, creating conversation between people who access the services and the people which work in them and raising awareness for the issues they are facing. We are also looking at the role that creativity and the arts can play in helping people to self care and express themselves.
Our main objective is to create a play exploring this issue, following our tradition this will be based on interviews and research. We would like to speak to anyone that has experienced services, worked in services or just has an opinion or experience of mental health they would like to share. If you would like to talk to us please email: [email protected]
Along side the play we will be doing a series of events and campaigns, so far we have launched the digital wall of aspirations. A website were anyone can post a positive message and it is added to the online wall of aspiration. Want to contribute? Follow the link below:
We have also developed workshops for young people about being kind to yourself, resilience and emotional intelligence. If you would be interested in us delivering a workshop, contact us at :[email protected]
